Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Gold Price app ("the app") processes, why, and the choices you have. The app is published by Anadolu Developer ("we", "us"). If you have any question, contact us at anadoludeveloper@gmail.com.
- No account, no sign-in. We never ask for your name, e-mail address or phone number.
- We do not use your precise location and we do not access your contacts, photos or files.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Notifications are optional. Only if you turn them on do we store a notification token and your notification settings on our server.
- The app shows ads (Google AdMob) and uses Google Firebase for usage statistics and crash reports. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first.
1. Information stored only on your device
Your selected country and currency zone, app language, number style (local or Western digits), notification preferences, calculator entries and the last downloaded prices are stored on your device so the app works quickly and offline. This information is not sent to us, except the notification settings described in section 2. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
2. Notifications and price alerts (optional)
If you turn on a price alert, the daily summary, big-move alerts or the zakat reminder, the app sends the following to our server so that it can send you notifications even when the app is closed:
- a notification token created by Firebase Cloud Messaging for this installation of the app;
- your app language, number format and device time zone;
- the country (and currency zone) whose prices you follow;
- your notification settings: daily summary on/off and time, big-move alert on/off and threshold, zakat reminder on/off and the Hijri day and month you chose;
- your price alerts: product (for example 21K per gram), currency, direction (above/below) and target price;
- the notification texts in your language and the names of the selected country and products, so that notifications are written in your language.
We use this information only to send the notifications you asked for. A price alert is removed when you delete it. Your device record is deleted automatically when the notification token is no longer valid (for example after you uninstall the app) or when the app has not been opened for 180 days. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app; you can also ask us to delete your record (see section 9).
3. Requests to our server
To show prices, the app downloads them from our server (gold price, exchange rates and price history; the server gets them from public data sources). Like any internet service, our server receives your IP address and basic request information (time, address requested, app request headers). We use the IP address only to protect the service against abuse (rate limiting); it is kept in memory for a few minutes and is not stored in our database. Infrastructure logs may keep this information for a short time for security and troubleshooting. All communication with our server is encrypted (HTTPS).
4. Usage statistics – Google Firebase Analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app uses Firebase Analytics. It collects app interactions (for example screens opened, country selected, use of the calculator and alerts), app settings (app language, home country, digit style, whether notifications are used), device and app information (device model, Android version, app version), an app-instance identifier, and approximate location (country or city) that Google derives from the IP address. Firebase Analytics in this app does not use your advertising ID.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, usage statistics are stored only if you give consent in the consent form.
- You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the app: Settings → Share usage statistics.
5. Crash reports – Google Firebase Crashlytics
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report so that we can fix the problem: the error details, device model, Android version, app version, the time of the crash and an installation identifier. Crash reports do not contain your notification settings, alerts or any content you enter. The Share usage statistics switch does not turn off crash reports.
6. Advertising – Google AdMob
The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information and your interactions with ads.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we use Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform). Personalised ads are shown only with your consent; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy and ad settings.
- On any Android device you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
7. Service providers
We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the app for us, and only for the purposes above:

Google may process data in countries other than yours; Google applies its own safeguards described in the Google Privacy Policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
8. Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK apply, we rely on: the performance of the service you request (prices, the notifications you turn on); our legitimate interests (security of the service, crash reports to keep the app working); and your consent (usage statistics and personalised ads in the regions where consent is required). You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Most choices are available directly in the app (turning notifications off, deleting alerts, the usage statistics switch, privacy and ad settings). For any other request, write to anadoludeveloper@gmail.com. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for information that identifies your installation (for example the time you created an alert). You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority (in Türkiye: Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and minimal data collection to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the data we hold.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app or on its Google Play page.
